The statistics tell one story. The media reinforces another. But we’re here to proclaim the truth: Young Black boys have the God-given capability to be among the top earners in America—when they learn to THINK.
Why This Campaign Matters to Me
As a grant writer, I spend my days helping organizations secure funding to tackle society’s biggest challenges. Working so closely with visionaries fighting for change has ignited something in me – a desire to step beyond writing grants and become part of the solution myself. BMMB is my contribution to the community, my way of using everything I’ve learned about creating social impact to address an issue that breaks my heart and fills me with hope.
Breaking the Cycle That Keeps Us Down
Society floods us with statistics about failing schools and rising incarceration for black boys. Meanwhile, drugs, violence, and hypersexuality poison their ability to think and build wealth.
But! we refuse to accept these outcomes. We’re rewriting this story.
These destructive behaviors don’t just harm our sons physically—they rob them of their ability to use their brilliant minds. And when the educational system fails to nurture their potential or teach them how to think for themselves, some families are making a powerful choice: taking control of their son’s education through homeschooling.
